As part of the preparation for the implementation of the 2015 curriculum, on December 14, 2017, at the Nuswantara hall, B building 7th floor, FISIP UB held a socialization event on the Proposal Seminar course. Sociology students, especially from the 2015 class, seemed enthusiastic to come. This can be seen from the crowded students filling the hall chair, including the many questions about the mechanism of the MK Proposal Seminar. In the socialization, it was conveyed about the mechanism for the implementation of the Proposal Seminar, including the preparations that students had to do.
These subjects will be carried out in two mechanisms, including the first three meetings in the classical way, and the next meeting will be adjusted to the agreement of each lecturer in the research group. Meanwhile, students are advised before January 22, 2017 to make specific outline proposals that can be addressed to each lecturer based on the interest of the study. At the same time, students are also advised not to take too many elective courses in the next semester, so that the lecture burden is not too heavy. Even if you take elective courses, it is advisable to take courses that can support the proposal made. So, students can focus more on working on their thesis research proposals.
What is also important note is that the minimum requirements that must be met by students is that they have taken and passed 90 credits in the previous semester. This amount can be taken on 6th semester students. With this mechanism, it is expected that the study time of UB Sociology students can be accelerated.
