As part of the excellence program in Brawijaya University, the Department of Sociology participated in the 3 in 1 program throughout September 2019. This program was supported by a visiting professor, Hans Pol, a historian with an interest in public health from Sidney University; as well as activists of PLWHA  (WPA)  from Turen, Malang, Elsih Sasaningtyas and Tri Nurhudi. They collaborated with several lecturers of our department with interests in the Sociology of Health and Community Development. In order to support the program, several other activities such as guest lecture, seminar and research writing workshop were also held. Elsih Sasaningtyas was the visiting lecturer for the courses of Sociology of Health and Community Development.
